Since its foundation in 1998 Kwenda Safari is renowned specialist for Land Rover rentals and ever since unites a special group of travellers and four wheel drive enthusiasts. Over the years our fleet of vehicles has grown substantially, we always offer the latest models and along to the Land Rover have also introduced the equally famous Toyota Land Cruiser into our fleet.

The Land Cruiser 76 Station Wagon is similar to the Land Rover Defender, but comes with less electronic on board, has a very rugged drive train including differential locks on both axles and is powered by a 6-Cylinder diesel plant. Like all other Land Cruisers this model comes standard with a "snorkel" for unavoidable deep water crossings.

Based on the same platform is the Land Cruiser 79 Double Cab with a large storage area under its canopy at the back, large drawers and a very practival kitchen unit easily accessible from the outside.

Perfect for couples is the Land Cruiser Bushcamper offering an easy to open pop-up roof having its bed inside the cabin. It opens and closes in seconds and saves considerable time in the evening and morning. The hard shell roof gives also better protection in heavy rains and the large 270deg awning fitted as standard provides a covered area on the side and back of the vehicle.

The smaller brother of the Land Cruiser is the widely spread Toyota HiLux which we purposly only offer in its spacious 4-door double cab version. The HiLux Double Cab Canopy is the classic utility vehicle of farmers and an affordable four wheel drive (4wd) option of highest reliabilty. It comes with an economic diesel engine and all necessary 4x4 funtionalities and is prepared with the same equipment as all our vehicles.

For the young family the Toyota HiLux Double Cab Bushcamper provides an interesting option. This vehicle is equally practical as the Land Cruiser Bushcamper but offers sleeping space in the rear cabin for two adults and two children.

Price Basis:
Above prices serve as a first comparison of the vehicle types. They are based on an average rental period of three weeks in the seasonal period for a rental from Johannesburg. We offer special rates for certain travel months and prices vary depending on the location of the start of the rental. Sale of Vehicles:
Our primary focus is on 4x4 rental and guided safaris. However, we are aware that for very long periods, travellers may also consider a purchase of a vehicle. In order to keep our fleet young we offer our fully equipped 4x4 vehicles for sale at around two and a half years of age. They are fully equipped, well maintained and come with guarantee.
